DESCRIPTION:

The community management role requires you to combine strong event planning, social media, and marketing skills with the goal of showcasing local businesses and engaging popular Yelp members in the community.

What is Yelp Elite Squad, you ask?

Here are some of the Yelpers who do well with their content – think great photos, good reviews, compliments and other content etc. In an effort to recognize top contributors, we display an “Elite” badge on their Yelp profile, and invite them to participate in community-supporting events with other community members (ie – tell you!). What to do:
You will be the face of Yelp in your area by attending local events and connecting with local business owners.

You will create, organize and execute the Yelp program in your area. You’ll build valuable relationships with local businesses that want to host events using Yelp.

You’ll support your Yelp Elite members by answering questions, sharing their content with Yelp, and letting them know what’s happening in your community. You’ll research and design a collection of local businesses that showcase the best in your city for Yelp’s local newsletter.

You will build relationships and relationships with local organizations with the aim of reaching new audiences. You will manage the day-to-day strategy and growth of Yelp’s social media on Instagram and Twitter, including writing and creating visual assets through Canva and/or video design and editing.

What it takes to be successful:

You have at least 3 years of professional experience in event planning, social media management and/or marketing.You’re ready to reach out and connect with business owners to build relationships and promote partnerships on behalf of Yelp.

You have strong interpersonal skills. You thrive in a self-directed environment where you are in control of your schedule

You are guided by a sense of creative freedom

Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
