Full Job Description

Yelp was created to make it easier for people to find fantastic local businesses. As an Inside Sales Representative (ISR), you will collaborate closely with these local businesses to help them realize their goals through Yelp’s various advertising initiatives. You’ll speak on the phone with small business owners to understand their needs and objectives, then customize each sale to assist in realizing those objectives. Our success comes from assisting in the growth of our client’s businesses.

Because people are at the core of everything we do, you should make it one of your top priorities to educate business owners about the benefits of Yelp’s advertising platform. Your main duty in this position will be to sell Yelp advertising space to local businesses across the US and Canada. To succeed in this role, you must be able to consistently outperform monthly sales goals, maintain a lead on daily metrics, and handle rejection well. You’ll act as follows.

  •  Educate, plan, and effectively sell Yelp advertising programs through a significant volume of outbound sales calls—this role is entirely phone-based.
  •   Own and manage a client pipeline with dentists, florists, and restaurant proprietors who are all organized in our CRM (Salesforce).
  •  You and your team will work from the comfort of your home to sell advertising to small local businesses on a set Monday through Friday schedule, so say goodbye to that dreaded commute.
  •  The key to your success will be to become an expert in Yelp’s advertising solutions and quickly adapt product recommendations to client needs by asking insightful questions and getting past reluctance and rejection from customers.

 To succeed, you must:

  •  A GED or HS diploma OR two or more years of experience working with customers.
  •  an undergraduate qualification.
  •  I am not frightened by the phone.
  •  For general computer and email proficiency, we offer a MacBook and use Google Suite.
  •  a setting that is free from interruptions.
  •  the ability to manage independently without supervision and effectively prioritize tasks.
  •  must hold an active work visa for the US.
