In order to deliver incremental and sustainable growth in user contribution, traffic, and revenue, the Business Operations and Strategy team is in charge of identifying potential improvement areas and guiding the strategy underlying those operational changes. As an Analyst, you will collaborate cross-functionally with different business units to support these initiatives. We work with our sales organization to develop its incentive compensation system, in addition to testing new products and price points to offer to business owners. You will work closely with representatives from each of Yelp’s business units to develop analytically supported insights and business decisions that will improve the bottom line of the organization.
You will provide first-rate analytic support by working practically with Excel and using additional tools (SQL, Salesforce, Python, Google Analytics, Tableau) as necessary.
You will come up with actionable insights, use wise business judgment, make suggestions, and have an impact on Yelp’s business direction by working well with and communicating results to cross-functional groups.
Your custom Tableau dashboards will provide you with visibility into KPIs, marketing effectiveness, and market trends and drivers.

a bachelor’s degree, or its equivalent, preferably in business, math, economics, or a related field.
In the past, you’ve used quantitative approaches to resolve analytical issues in the context of business.
You have come across a wide range of unique business operations and models.
You are a data analysis enthusiast with exceptional Excel modeling skills. SQL knowledge is advantageous.
You’re a great problem solver because of your ability to switch between broad insights and specific details.
Because of your excellent interpersonal skills, you are a natural communicator who works well with people from different teams.
