As an applied scientist in the Ads division, you will be a part of a group that focuses on pricing and auction bidding strategies, control systems, and experimentation. Applied scientists transform these realizations into statistical or predictive models that are used in production after conducting exploratory research and analysis. The business of Yelp will greatly benefit from these insights, even though it takes a lot of work to make sense of the data, carefully consider the system design, and identify various network interactions.

You’ll do:.

Create testable hypotheses, assume responsibility for complex issues, and have a significant positive impact on business.
Create causal and predictive models, create experiments, and then analyze the results to test your hypotheses.

Success requires the following.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience are prerequisites.
a qualification in a quantitative field, such as computer science, statistics, economics, applied mathematics, physics, etc.
having knowledge of statistical software and packages (like R, Python’s pandas, statisticsmodels, and sklearn). ).
understanding of causal inference, predictive modeling, or machine learning.

The salary range is from $106,000 to $235,000. It’s also possible that you’ll receive rewards, restricted stock units, and bonuses.
