  • This position will report to the Senior Manager, SEC Reporting and be a part of the Corporate Accounting Team.  The following will be done by you.
  •  You will assist in the organization and planning of disclosures for periodic Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) filings. These may also include Forms 10-Q and 10-K and others as necessary.
  •  You will confirm that the aforementioned filings comply with SEC and U. compliant. S. guidelines for XBRL tagging and generally accepted accounting principles (“GAAP”).
  •  You will assist the Investor Relations team by supplying timely and accurate financial information, reviewing key earnings information, and offering additional insights as part of the process to communicate Yelp’s results through the quarterly Shareholder Letter.
  •  You will carry out appropriate accounting literature reviews, provide technical memos, and instructions to ensure Yelp is accounting for any changes in accordance with U. GAAP Sdot. As part of this process, recent accounting pronouncements that will have an impact on Yelp are investigated, evaluated, and documented.
  •  You will aid in drafting monthly accounting journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for your assigned responsibility areas as part of our month-end close process. This could include, among other things, stock compensation and capitalized software development costs.
  •  You will ensure that policies and procedures are followed in accordance with the demands of Sarbanes Oxley (“SOX”). Work with internal and external auditors to coordinate SOX testing, and see to it that any problems are fixed if they are.
  •  You will help with and lead a variety of other projects, such as SOX-related ones like the implementation of control flowcharts or other new system implementations that have an impact on SOX or SEC reporting, such as those that involve SOX.
  •  You will collaborate with relevant cross-functional stakeholders, including, among others, the larger Accounting team, FPandA, investor relations, legal, and tax.
  •  As part of monthly fluctuation analyses, you will search the financial statements for significant areas of accountability and be able to present your findings to finance management.
  •  You will work on a variety of original projects and ad hoc analyses as assigned.
 Success requires the following.
  •  It was a B for you. S. /B. A. a degree that is equivalent in accounting, business administration, or another subject.
  •  You have at least two years of relevant experience.
  •  You already have a CPA license, or you’re actively pursuing one.
  •  Ideally, you have prior experience working on SEC filings for publicly traded companies (either from an audit background or working within a company).
  •  You are familiar with US GAAP and accounting research methods.
  •  You’re used to SOX.
  •  You are a pro at using Excel and Microsoft Word.
  •  You have a very strong attention to detail.
  •  You can prioritize numerous projects while working on them all at once, frequently under pressure, and still meet deadlines.
  •  You communicate very well both orally and in writing.
  •  You are a strong analytical thinker with the ability to execute process improvement successfully.
  •  Although it is not required, you have previously used Oracle accounting systems.
  •  You demonstrate a dedication to teamwork.
