Wells Fargo’s Strategy, Digital and Innovation division is in need of a Principal Design Strategist. Since this position requires someone with pi-shaped competencies, it would be advantageous if you were skilled in strategic design as well as another subject, such as behavioral science, speculative design, research, or user experience. The depth of these fields is complemented, and your toolkit’s breadth shines as you support excellent design, make it possible, and collaborate successfully with a fresh, growing multidisciplinary team of collaborators. In cooperation with a wide range of partners, design strategists handle the following tasks:.
We lead design sprints where we show different internal teams new working techniques while they develop brand-new business visions, solutions, and roadmaps.
The process of finding and facilitating thorough understanding of opportunity areas, designing pertinent concepts, and turning those ideas into products that can be purchased and sold is known as innovation incubation.

You will: in this role.

Utilize data synthesis and analysis to identify user insights quickly and convey them to product definition and strategy teams.
Plan, coordinate, and conduct evaluative and exploratory research, and then convert the results into strategic insights.
To turn concepts into workable ideas and product designs, collaborate with product designers.
Create visual works that convey ideas that inspire original thought and reflect insights.

You’ve had a ton of experiences already. Design Strategist, Behavioral Scientist, Design Sprint Leader, Innovation Designer, Innovation Facilitation, Innovation Consultant, Innovation Strategist, Business Designer, Service Designer, Experience Designer, Design Researcher, Customer Experience Specialist, Product Designer and Strategist, or UI Designer and Strategist are a few of the positions you may have held.

These are the prerequisites:.

10+ years of design strategy experience, or equivalent, as demonstrated by any one of the following, individually or in combination: education, training, work experience, or military service.

Include among the desired qualifications.

Experience in discovery and evaluative design research (problem definition, research planning, interviewing – from ethnographic interviews to usability testing) of 10+ years.
10 years or more of professional experience working with product teams that include product leaders, UX designers, and other design strategists (in an agency or large organization).

working with multidisciplinary teams of strategists, designers, and architects while using project management skills.
Experience and excellence in creating innovative solutions for customers or staff using methods like design thinking, human-centered design, futuristic service design, data visualization, ethnography, systems thinking, analytical thinking, in-depth interviews, opportunity definition, concept development, storytelling, and visual recording.
knowledge of working with design software like Figma, Mural, Miro, and InVision.
Advanced degree in cognitive sciences (sociology, anthropology, psychology), social, behavioral, or human-centric interaction, or in another research-focused humanities discipline such as cultural studies, political science, business, or design.
