What you did.
The Sam’s Club fraud detection team needs a Staff Data Scientist. Manage fraud risks across a variety of product categories as part of your duties as a staff data scientist, and act as a strategic partner to the product and business teams. Setting goals, creating a plan, and collaborating closely with business stakeholders, product managers, and engineers are all expected of you. You’ll be responsible for identifying altered fraud trends, creating and using ML models with large, fast-moving real-time datasets, and fostering innovation in fraud detection and prevention across a range of channels.
You must complete the following.
- Develop machine learning models for detecting fraud in areas like return abuse, account takeover (ATO), online shopping, and club payment fraud.
- working with business and technical stakeholders to convert fraud business problems into data science solutions.
- Work on highly scalable machine learning (ML) models and algorithms in the big data mining and graph modeling fields, among others.
- Establish a model pipeline and scale the service deployment in collaboration with engineering teams.
- Address system issues as soon as they arise and fully investigate their causes.

- experience in the development of large-scale production machine learning systems.
- knowledge of data-manipulation languages and methods (e. g. such as Python and MySQL. ).
- using big data sets and distributed computing tools (PySpark, GCP, BigQuery).
