Job Summary:
Build and manage large data pipelines to support advanced analytics and data science solutions. Identifies valuable internal and external data. Collaborate with data scientists to interpret data for the design, development and implementation of new solutions that support business needs. Enables seamless data integration across organizations and promotes automation of common and repeatable processes. Job Description:
- Develops software that organizes, stores and provides data for others.
- Builds data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, and process data that helps create insights and meet reporting needs. Drafts ETL (Extract/Transform/Load) and ELT (Extract/Load/Transform) processes, creates database systems and creates tools for real-time and online analysis.
- Develop scalable, repeatable, high-performance and secure data pipelines. Troubleshoot software, data pipelines, and processes to ensure data consistency and integrity.
- Integrates data from various sources, ensuring it meets data quality and availability standards. Handle problems and obstacles effectively as they arise.
- Interacts with internal and external peers and/or managers to exchange semi-complex information related to assigned activities. Building API integration to support continued growth in data volume and complexity.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of experience in data engineering.
- Experience with query architecture (SQL) and familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases. Software architecture experience processing big data and optimizing data pipelines and data processing systems.
- Experience in research related to working with datasets. Experience building and maintaining key relationships with peers, business partners and executives within a matrix organization to ensure quality standards for operations.
- Experience analyzing and reporting data to identify problems, trends or differences to improve results and find solutions. Willingness to travel up to/at least 10% of the time for business purposes (and out of state).
Eligibility of candidates
- Graduate degree in technical training
- Experience deploying applications developed using Java, Python, Scala, etc. REST API development experience
- Experience in a retail or medical facility
- Experience with any of the cloud providers such as Azure, AWS, GCP, etc. and application integration, including pipelines, tools, logic tools, and more. Experience in message queuing, stream processing and “big data” data warehousing would be a plus.
- Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka or Azure Event Hubs
- Experience with Big Data tools like Hadoop and \\ or Spark and tabular models like Delta, HUDI, Iceberg
- Experience with Git, integration, branch management and conflict resolution. Experience in manual/automated analysis and unit testing.
- Experience leading, coaching and mentoring teams of various skill levels. Experience in project management practices, frameworks and processes (Agile/Scrum/waterfall)
- Experience with data platform concepts (Data Lake, Data Warehouse and Delta Lake/Lakehouse). Comprehensive understanding of failure areas and processes. Data cleaning
- Experience with CI/CD principles and best practices
