Performs Data Entry And Patient Registration In Accordance With Local, State, And Federal Regulations. Identifies Problems, Interprets Medical Abbreviations (SIG Codes), And Locates Missing Prescription Information. Resolves All Exceptions Relating To Data Entry.
  •  Handles Patient Correspondence (Inbound Calls, Chats, And Emails) And Places Outbound Calls To Prescribers And Patients As Necessary.
  •  Resolves Third Party Rejects By Reviewing, Collecting Data, Making Necessary Corrections, And Resubmitting For Processing In Accordance With The Demands Of Each Individual Plan. Calls Insurers And Other Parties To Get Information, Get The Go-Ahead For An Override, Or To Find A Different Way To Handle Third Party Rejects.
  •  Aids Pharmacists, Both Those Working In The Facility And Those Who Are Working Elsewhere. Identifies Issues And, As Necessary, Informs Senior Level Staff Of Them.
  •  Within The First 90 Days, Obtain An Active Technician License Or Certification, And Keep That License Or Certification Current.
 Basic Requirements.
  •  At Least 18 Years Old.
  •  GED Or A Diploma From High School.
  •  PC Fundamentals, Such As How To Turn On And Off A Computer, Point And Click With A Mouse To Open And Close Programs, Switch Between Programs, Save Files, Print Documents, And/Or Access Online Information.
  •  Open A Browser, Enter Urls In The Proper Location, Use A Search Engine, Bookmark A Website, Navigate Using The Back, Forward, And Stop Buttons, And Fill Out Online Forms Are All Examples Of Basic Search Engine Skills.
  •  Intermediate Level Keyboarding Abilities (At Least 25 WPM, Touch Typing, Document Formatting).
  •  Both In Writing And Verbally, Communicate Clearly.
 Preferred Credentials.
  •  Experience As A Pharmacy Technician For At Least One Year, Preferably In A Retail Or Call Center Setting.
  •  At Least 18 Months Of Experience Working As A Pharmacy Technician With A State-Issued Certificate Or Registration, Issued By The State Board For Pharmacy Or Another Recognized Certification Body.
