Full Job Description:

Tesla’s Cellular Materials Engineering Group is seeking highly motivated individuals to become Production Specialists for a new battery chemistry facility under construction near Corpus Christi, TX. As a production specialist, you will be part of an innovative production team where your influence will help set the stage for new chemical production projects. You will have the opportunity to participate in process development and resource improvement. What to do:

Participate in company safety and ethics.
Work on and adjust manufacturing processes through SPC or other data analysis. Ensure process stability and production quality.
Develop a power isolation plan to perform equipment maintenance. Ensure that operations are conducted and conducted in accordance with best safety practices
Help develop, manage and implement process change and management plans.
Write and update manufacturing instructions. Escalate issues to production manager and quality team if necessary.
Service delivery and start-up support including process and equipment support. Train and provide guidance to staff for working on equipment systems.
Collaborate with maintenance, quality and engineering teams to maintain and improve key system processes

What to bring:

3+ years of experience in a structured PSM process and/or associate degree in process technology. Experience in solids handling, calcining and hydrometallic unit operations is a plus.
Exceptional ability to solve chemical process group projects and implement effective solutions
Experience commissioning and starting new projects
Able to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and technical drawings
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
SPC conversion experience, process capability and R&R checks
