The Senior Manager, SEC Reporting will be in charge of this position, which will also be a part of the Corporate Accounting Team. The month-end accounting close for all Yelp entities, including our foreign offices, is handled by this ambitious, fun, and collaborative team before the results are combined and communicated to all pertinent parties, both internally and externally.  You’ll perform:.
  •  Your assistance will be needed with the preparation, coordination, and review of disclosures for periodic Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) filings. Forms 10-Q and 10-K make up the majority of these, though other forms may be added as necessary.
  •  You will confirm that the aforementioned filings are SEC and U. compliant. The S.’s generally accepted accounting principles (“GAAP”) requirements, which include XBRL tagging.

  •  You will assist as needed with the creation/review of monthly accounting journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for your respective areas of responsibility as part of our month-end close process. This could include, among other things, capitalized software development costs and stock compensation.
  •  You’ll make sure that policies and procedures are followed in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley (“SOX”) requirements. You will also work with internal and external auditors to coordinate the SOX testing and make sure that any issues found are fixed.
  •  You will help with and lead a variety of other projects, such as SOX-related ones like the implementation of control flowcharts or other new system implementations that have an impact on SOX or SEC reporting, such as those that involve SOX.
  •  You will be in charge of managing the timely delivery of supporting documentation to auditors (PBC list) for both external financial reporting audits and SOX-related requests. You will also be in charge of managing the interaction with and handling of auditor inquiries.
  •  You will establish yourself as a crucial business partner by cooperating with relevant cross-functional stakeholders, including the larger Accounting team, FPandA, investor relations, legal, and tax, among others.
  •  Financial statement analytics for key areas of responsibility will be carried out as part of your monthly fluctuation analyses with finance management, and you will be able to articulate your results.
  •  You will work on various special projects and ad hoc analyses as assigned, and you will have the ability to recommend procedure improvements for crucial accountability domains.
 The following are necessary for success.
  •  You were given a B. S. /B. A. a degree in accounting, business administration, or a related subject.
  •  At least 4 years of your experience are relevant.
  •  Either you hold the CPA designation already, or you are actively pursuing it.
  •  You have prior experience working on SEC filings for a publicly traded company (either from an audit background or working within a company).
  •  You ideally have experience in public accounting and have worked for one of the Big 4 accounting firms.
  •  You are very knowledgeable about US GAAP and accounting research methodologies.
  •  Your experience with Workiva’s Wdesk SEC filing program is ideal.
  •  You are acquainted with SOX and interactions with external auditors.
  •  Microsoft Word and Excel are both tools you are proficient with.
  •  It’s really impressive how carefully you pay attention to detail.
