For the Finance Team in London, we are looking for a motivated and talented finance and accounting professional. To simplify accounting, compliance, and reporting processes for UK financial operations and processes, the candidate will work with numerous teams. The person will also collaborate with our London office’s various cross-functional teams as a business partner.
The ideal candidate fits Netflix’s values and culture well, gets along with people well across the organization, and has a hands-on attitude. We are looking for someone with accounting experience who can manage the reporting and financial statement compliance requirements for our Canadian and UK corporate and production entities. The ideal applicant is a self-starter who is able to drive projects and process improvements within constrained timeframes in a fast-paced environment. They should also have excellent communication skills and the ability to establish productive working relationships with both internal teams and outside advisors.

The following are included in the duties:.

for UK legal entities, the creation of statutory accounts.
Prepare for and review the Canadian NTR.
acknowledgement of the UK filing requirements.
performing statutory audits.
presenting IFRS and UK GAAP viewpoints on specific projects.
driving automation initiatives to enhance overall financial operations and procedures for accounting and reporting.
used to managing multiple tasks, setting priorities, and meeting tight deadlines.
the capacity to collaborate with Netflix teams across time zones.
Availability to travel to our EMEA and international offices.

Background in education and work history.

8 years of minimum relevant experience in accounting and finance, ideally with a mix of in-house and public accounting.
a postgraduate degree in accounting from a program accredited by the RA, CA, CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent, as well as a bachelor’s degree in accounting or an equivalent academic degree.
proficiency in managing (first-year) financial audits and statutory reporting.
Working in a global setting; having the ability to work with cross-functional teams in legal, tax, accounting, content, etc.
working familiarity with service providers, i. e. independent accountants, external auditors.
strong knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.
with advanced MS Excel and Google Sheets skills and the ability to navigate large data sets.
It helps to be bilingual in English and Spanish.
Experience with Workday Financials or another cloud-based ERP system would be advantageous.
It is advantageous to have a solid command of English.
