For the Finance Team in London, we are looking for a motivated and talented finance and accounting professional. The candidate will work with numerous teams to streamline the accounting, compliance, and reporting processes used by the UK finance department. The person will also cooperate with the various cross-functional teams in our London office.

The ideal candidate works well with others across the organization, fits Netflix’s culture and values well, and is very hands-on. In its broadest sense, we’re looking for an individual with accounting experience who can manage the reporting and financial statement compliance requirements for our Canadian and UK corporate and production entities. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work efficiently and independently, drive projects and process improvements within constrained timeframes in a fast-paced environment. A strong communicator who can establish long-lasting working relationships with both internal teams and outside advisors is also a requirement.

These tasks are among the responsibilities:.

the creation of statutory accounts for UK legal entities.
Examining and preparing for the Canadian NTR.
understanding the filing requirements in the UK.
in charge of performing statutory audits.
presenting IFRS and UK GAAP viewpoints on projects.
driving automation projects to enhance overall finance operations and processes in terms of reporting and accounting.
used to multitasking, setting priorities, and juggling multiple deadlines.
having the Netflix teams’ ability to collaborate across time zones.
Traveling to our offices in EMEA and abroad.

Education and professional experience:.

8 years of minimum relevant experience in accounting and finance; it’s ideal if you’ve worked in both in-house and public accounting.
A postgraduate degree in accounting, such as an RA, CA, CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent, that has already been earned or is on track to be earned, as well as a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting.
experience with managing statutory reporting and (first-year) financial audits.
working in a global setting; being able to work with cross-functional teams in legal, tax, accounting, content, etc.
working with service providers, i. e. independent accountants, external auditors.
strong knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.
Advanced Google Sheets and MS Excel skills, including the ability to navigate sizable data sets.
Having prior experience in the tech or entertainment industries is advantageous.
A benefit would be familiarity with Workday Financials or another cloud-based ERP system.
In addition to English, other languages are useful.
