Opportunity:

We are looking for a Legal Compliance Manager, LatAm to work with the Customer Complaints team. In this role, you will lead a small but dynamic team of legal professionals for handling customer complaints and related legal questions in Latin America. You and your team will log into our system to analyze and understand the root cause of customer complaints, provide solutions (returns, refunds, appeals, etc.) to resolve those complaints, develop and improve our legal strategy, and manage our external legal team. to ensure that our legal defense is true, easy to understand and, above all, successful. You will directly manage a portfolio of client claims and related legal inquiries from Spanish-speaking countries in Latin America. The ideal candidate has a “hands-on” attitude, understands and values ​​his work, knows how to use data to make decisions, and can create workable work processes. The position is based in Alphaville – Barueri.

Work:

Manage a small team of legal experts responsible for all aspects of customer complaints (PROCON, small claims and general legal questions) from work, document support, filing, analysis of claims, collecting information, drafting responses, appeals and other books;
Directly manage our customer complaint files and related legal inquiries from all Latin American countries (Portuguese and Spanish);
Develop and implement a litigation reporting system, including quarterly reports required for audit and financial reporting;
Collaborate with internal functional teams such as customer service, research and feedback, public policy and litigation;
When investigating complaints, use customer service tools and other internal resources necessary to investigate them;
Monitor, manage and collaborate with other consultants to define and improve our policy and strategy, gather documentation and analyze feedback to ensure our response is consistent with our strategy and culture. Manage and update internal documents, including specific documents, and legal research collections;
Process, record and maintain accurate data about the volume and nature of customer complaints for reporting purposes and to improve products and customer experience;
Identify opportunities for automated messaging, using existing data and reducing manual data entry/unnecessary data manipulation;
Act as a legal liaison and partner with the customer service team to investigate, obtain information and respond to customer complaints submitted to public sites (ie, Reclame Aqui).

Is required:

3+ years of experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal team. Experience in consumer claims or legal transactions. Knowledge and experience of legal work is desirable;
Analytical rigor and mindset and methods can always be improved or eliminated if it is not necessary;
Ability to work efficiently, independently and with little guidance, but with discretion to escalate issues when necessary;
Hard working, forward thinking and hands on attitude. Excellent communication skills (concise and clear), including the ability to effectively explain complex information to different audiences;
Ability to maintain a positive and constructive attitude in complex situations and to resolve complex issues in a productive manner;
High level of curiosity and demonstrate the highest personal and professional standards of integrity and ethics;
Able to change processes, be careful and act in a short time;
Fluency in Portuguese, English and Spanish is required for this job;
