The Prospect.

For our growing slate of Netflix Franchise Series and UK-produced Films, we are seeking a highly qualified Manager, Visual Effects. The candidate should be well-known and well-established in the VFX industry. The ideal candidate will have held a significant position with one or more vendors and worked on the client side of production. The position necessitates close cooperation with our internal creative and production teams, as well as the capacity to manage relationships with VFX vendors and crew, review and contribute to budgets and schedules based on pitches, treatments, and scripts, evaluate and comment on work creatively, and support our production partners and filmmakers. You’ll be expected to be a champion for visual effects and be exceptional at cross-functional communication for Netflix.

The necessary skill sets and designated duties include, among others:.

collaborating in pre-production and development with the creative directors of our studio. creating VFX budgets and breakdowns, planning the production and post-production, and script analysis. advising and making observations regarding the viability and range of the VFX.
creating the visual effects team for our productions through the selection of Vendors, the hiring of VFX Producers and Supervisors, and negotiations with agents. guiding contract negotiations and working with legal counsel to uphold corporate spending limits.
Track the status of the delivery of VFX and cost reports. collaborating closely with the VFX Producers to anticipate and resolve any issues with the budget and timeline. Make certain that the production is effective, on time, and within budget.
Work with the show’s VFX producers to establish and maintain a weekly reporting system that will provide a brief summary of the budget, schedule, and VFX development each week.
In order to ensure the creation of high-quality work, VFX finals are evaluated in conjunction with the VFX Producer and VFX Supervisor.
