Summary.
In order to deliver incremental and sustainable growth in user contribution, traffic, and revenue, the Business Operations and Strategy team is in charge of identifying improvement areas and directing the strategy behind those operational changes. As an analyst, you will work cross-functionally with different business units to support these initiatives. We work with our sales team to help develop its incentive compensation program while testing new products and price points that will be made available to business owners. We create strategies to find novel, practical methods for attracting new customers in collaboration with our marketing team. We work together with our organization’s community management team to develop novel strategies for encouraging contribution (e. g. reviews and pictures) posted by Yelp users. We collaborate to deliver the analysis required by our product teams, assisting them in selecting the most crucial product priorities.

- You will use analytically supported insights to work collaboratively across Yelp’s business units and make wise financial decisions.
- You will actively work with Excel to deliver excellent analytic support while utilizing other tools (SQL, Salesforce, Python, Google Analytics, Tableau) as required.
- You will find actionable insights, use wise business judgment, make suggestions, and have an impact on Yelp’s business direction by effectively collaborating with and communicating results to cross-functional groups.

Success requires the following.
- Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent, ideally in business, math, economics, or a related subject.
- You’ve previously used quantitative techniques to address analytical issues in the context of business.
- You’ve had a lot of exposure to various business models and operations.
- With your exceptional Excel modeling skills, you have a strong passion for data analysis. SQL expertise is a plus.

- You will be able to effectively communicate with and work with executive management and front-line staff.
