A key position on the Disney Destinations International team, the Web Application Developer supports the e-commerce platform and portfolio of marketing microsites for Walt Disney Travel Company International.
The custom e-commerce platform needs to be updated and maintained, and we’re looking for a talented C developer to work closely with the development team on this. This person will also take the initiative to change the back-end technology stack, which is based on an ASP. NET skeletal system.
You will encourage the integration of technologies and development methodologies to further the objectives of the company and guarantee a solid, scalable platform.
To perform this job, you must be available four days a week on-site.

Responsibilities:.

Supporting the back-end development of websites by providing the technical know-how necessary to deliver complex solutions throughout the entire development life.
Develop new features for a localized ASP. Features from the ASP e-commerce platform that are moving to the NET MVC 5 platform are contributed.
Using SOLID principles, OO design and architectural patterns, TDD, and other techniques to write maintainable, scalable, fault-tolerant code.
To maintain technological leadership and enhance upcoming business offerings, look into proactive strategies.

Knowledge and skill requirements:.

strong familiarity with SOAP WebServices and RESTful WebAPIs.
competent with SQL Server and T-SQL queries.
knowledge of automated build services (e. g. TeamCity, Cake, GitLab, etc. ).
knowledge of unit testing frameworks (e. g. NOt, MOQ, etc. ).
practical experience with client-side technologies like HTML, JS, and CSS.
an excellent working understanding of git source code management.
understanding of issue tracking tools (e. g. JIRA).
familiarity with application/database bottlenecks and performance tuning.

If possible, please have knowledge of the following.

software for specialized online storefronts.
NET ORMs (i.e. g. Legislative Framework).
(Or a similar business content management system) SDL Tridion.
IOC containers include Autofac, Ninject, and others.
