We have an opening for a “hands-on”, data-driven team leader who enjoys the challenge of collaborating to deliver outstanding results for our Disney parks. This team is responsible for developing and maintaining the most advanced technology data analysis system of its kind for our parks, attractions, textiles, transportation and other US and international parks. This is a special management role within the Global Engineering and Technology organization, a unit that works with customer interests and global experience. This team leader role will report directly to the Productivity Manager (part of the Technical Engineering and Research department) and be a peer of the Productivity Team Leader and Software Engineering Team Leader.

As the Team Lead for Data Services, you will work closely with multiple teams including Walt Disney Imagineering, Engineering Services, Engineering Support, Finance and Operations to implement and maintain data acquisition, pipelining, Scientific Data Analytics (SDA) Internet of Things platform. and metrics that tell a story. This will include working with internal and external teams on the development/implementation of artificial intelligence/machine learning algorithms, digital twins and self-service research. Budget management will cover all ET&A portfolio clients, including the Integrated Facility Plan (IFP) program, regular science systems funding, and project-related SDA.

On a daily basis, as a data operations team leader, you can:

Define and develop the strategic plan and strategic plan of the Data Services team.
Lead the team to meet the requirements and requirements. Coordinates meetings with management at the general management level.
Monitors available resources to maintain first-hand knowledge of where resources can best be allocated. Lead a team of data engineers in the development and operation of cloud-based data centers and data products using modern tools and technologies.
Manage the development and implementation of Disney’s enterprise data analytics environment. Develop data and analysis solutions and practical strategies in line with organizational strategy.
Review industry best practices and provide thought leadership on emerging technologies and technologies. Develop and maintain effective and collaborative relationships with chief data officers and business leaders.
Create opportunities for managing the solution of the data platform and its components through the understanding and integration of data expertise and industry sector understanding and analysis. Improve efficiency by organizing guidelines, processes, procedures and schedules.

Here’s what you need to be successful in this job:

5+ years of data intelligence experience. Design and implementation of complex pool testing experiments.
Build a cloud environment, using business insights and big datasets. Develop a technology roadmap for future data environments.
Experience in data management, data quality and big data management. A framework for delivering data from microservices to cloud environments such as Google Cloud Platform.
Improving the skills of architects and managers in data analysis and management. Exposure to Agile development for best value and better quality.
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with others, including Walt Disney Imagineering, Engineering Services, Engineering Support, Information Technology Departments, and Operational Customers and Departments. Ability to obtain support from senior management and other departments.
