Marvel Studios Animation is looking for a compositor for a project we’re working on that involves an animated series. It will be this person’s responsibility to oversee the final composite and animated scene output.

For this IATSE 839 position, there is a collective bargaining agreement in effect.

 Responsibilities.

•  Use digital painting, sweetening, and touch-ups to finish composites used as final frames or illustrations.
•  Take part as needed in the launch sequences and daily reviews.
•  Attend director review sessions as often as necessary.
•  Implement the director’s vision and pitch fresh concepts to the group.
•  Develop techniques for creating the necessary layers and mattes by using appropriate compositing software and comprehensive documentation.

 Additional Requirements.

•  digital painting and editing abilities.
•  a thorough knowledge of Maya and Nuke, as well as experience using them.
•  proficiency with Photoshop and After Effects.
•  solid familiarity with matte, cryptomattes, and the finishing layers.
•  possessing the independence to work independently with both general-purpose and specialized lighting, rendering, and compositing tools.

1. A. or B. The preferred S. is in animation or a closely related field.

•  Knowledge of Houdini, proficiency with effects, and proficiency with FX are advantages.

The pay range for this position in Remote is $60-$65 per hour. The base pay that is actually provided varies based on the candidate’s location, as well as their education, training, and experience in relation to the position. Additionally, it derives the minimum wage from the pay scale that is detailed in the relevant Collective Bargaining Agreement.
