DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking new talent to join our Content Accounting team in order to help us as we grow our content slate. To report content and content-related transactions in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with U.S. GAAP for Sdot. The team is looking for a Manager to support our growing team in Europe.

 Responsibilities:.

•  Cross-functional relationships should continue to exist between the teams in our London office, including the content finance/EMEA finance, tax, legal, and content acquisition organizations. Every content vertical will have to follow this.
•  assist the Los Angeles-based accounting team members in making sure that the company’s content commitments, assets (capitalization), liabilities (payments), and expenses (amortization) are sound.
•  Cross-functional partners in our London office are in charge of managing the accounting of content and content-related contracts for our licensed and owned titles.
•  Examining the content agreements’ documentation involves understanding the terms of the contracts and how our accounting policies should be applied.
•  By promoting process improvements, you can take part in exciting projects that achieve scalability, efficiency, a core accounting framework, and management reporting.

 Qualifications:.

•  You have at least ten years of accounting experience, a Bachelor’s or Academic degree in accounting or business economics, and a postgraduate accounting degree, such as an ACA, CA, or CPA, that you are pursuing or have already obtained. If you have any experience in public accounting, that would be ideal.
•  The ability to navigate technical accounting guidance under UK GAAP, IFRS, or another comparable set of accounting standards (with a firm grasp of the differences to U.S. S. “Sdot GAAP”).
•  You are regarded as a reliable cross-functional business partner and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•  You constantly seek out ways to enhance current procedures (making them more efficient and meaningful), and you are open to new or challenging ideas when they are put forth by others.
•  You exercise sound judgment, come to intelligent conclusions on your own, are able to listen to others, give problems priority, and decide when to escalate issues.
•  You are comfortable making thoughtful deductions from data analysis. You have a strong desire to find out more information about topics outside of your area of expertise.
