Explanation

We are currently seeking a Data Center Engineer to work as a technical resource within our critical data center. The announcement will help ensure the availability and reliability of all our critical data center installations. Successful candidates will be expected to have an immediate and immediate impact on improving the productivity, efficiency, and capacity of our facilities to help deliver better value to Amazon customers.

Functions:

Assists in the operation and maintenance of all equipment, electrical and HVAC within the data center/office. This software supports critical servers and will maintain more than 99.999% availability.

Create a work plan for emergency repairs of critical assets. Take care of all mechanical, electrical, HVAC,
Works with minimal supervision.
Create and close work orders and appropriate data, to include work hours, equipment maintenance and parts used in the equipment management system

Keep track of changes in critical equipment to support maintenance/preventive maintenance

Testing: test the quality, performance, safety and reliability of products, equipment and processes

Be the first line responder for electrical and mechanical repairs. This equipment includes, but is not limited to, AHUs, chillers, cooling towers, chemical treatment systems, pumps, motors, VFDs, and home automation systems.

Skills:

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following skills/behaviors:
The ability to solve problems by removing the root cause, going back to understand the context. Make sure all safety procedures are followed while working.
Ability to problem solve and solve complex problems
Ability to follow process documentation and track issues through appropriate entries in the trouble ticket system. Use common sense and intuition to make decisions.
Take appropriate steps in a complex and rapidly changing environment. Willingness to take on technical issues.
Use an in-house CMMS to manage the construction process. eligibility criteria
Good communication and written skills in English

Education / trade certificate or diploma in electrical field

Demonstrate basic electrical skills (practice and theory)

Knowledge of mechanical systems (Mechanical, HVAC Systems, Controls)

Ability to write correct English support procedures, process documents and follow-up submissions

He is willing to move between data centers internationally as needed

strong computer skills; experience and knowledge of MS Office suite

DISCLAIMER WANTED

3+ years of call operations and support experience for a data center or enterprise-wide/manufacturing environment

University degree in technical field (EE, MechE, IndustrialE);
Experience in project management
