•  Amazon is looking for a Systems Program Manager to manage configuration, serve as an SME on system capabilities, and be the primary point of contact for a third-party cloud-based construction management software.
•  The Systems Program Manager will have to be meticulous, flexible, and fully accountable for a sizable user base, including system functionality and process implementation. The successful applicant will be obsessed with internal and external system user groups, in charge of defining and directing the implementation of system functionality to the international team. They will be able to work effectively with partner teams that have an impact on their primary user group as well as independently prioritize, plan, and complete deliverables.
•  While they will be a part of a larger organization that is diverse, upbeat, extraordinarily talented, and driven, this position will be situated within the global construction industry and be in charge of designing, constructing, and managing data center facilities that are at the top of their game. They must excel at managing multiple priorities and become familiar with the problems that their primary users face in order to successfully implement systems across subject matter experts from a variety of disciplines and/or cultural or regional differences. The perfect candidate controls complexity and promotes order without obstructing organizational objectives. They have a track record of successfully leading numerous projects to completion. Because the person in this position will be influencing members of the global team, they will also need to be extremely collaborative, able to influence without authority, and able to work with a lot of autonomy.
•  The Systems Program Manager will be in charge of steering and leading international initiatives that enable more effective and efficient operation of the global construction industry. This entails establishing system mechanisms that allow teams to consistently deliver in line with established standards, globally; managing system standards and enhancements for global internal and external users; auditing the team’s metrics to identify and address trends or issues; and supporting the introduction of new technology that allows for greater efficiency throughout the construction management life cycle.

 Essential job duties.

The software is designed to give AWS and outside vendors a centralized platform for working together to deliver some of the world’s most complex, economically advantageous, and quickly moving data center construction projects. The Systems Program Manager is in charge of:.

• Managing both new and existing system configurations for a third-party construction management software, and supporting both global internal and external system users.
• Serving as a subject-matter expert (SME) on the software’s capabilities.
• collaborating with international teams to implement system and procedure upgrades.
• Using team metrics to locate process bottlenecks and put efficiency fixes in place.
• Working closely and effectively with the third-party software provider to manage overall performance, including the detection, sharing, documentation, implementation, and resolution of system-related problems and improvements.
• Determining the scope and directing the implementation of feature upgrades or additions.
• Acting as the main point of contact and taking responsibility for ongoing system functionality and implementation.
• Creating, overseeing, and reporting on system compliance and policies.
• Coming up with and promoting large-scale, cross-company technical innovations or solutions for challenging business issues.
• Leading and swaying individuals and systems to achieve the aims and objectives of the teams.
• Encouraging ongoing improvements and compiling best practices after launch.
• Tracking user satisfaction and adoption rates after training and implementation.

 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS.

• 7 years or more of professional experience working on projects, programs, or products.
• 7+ years of experience using in-person and remote methods in various nations to serve as a SME and primary point of contact for a global system.
• 7+ years of experience using software for project or workflow management, as well as design and construction management tools.
• 7+ years of experience with the entirety of a software launch’s lifecycle (kick-off, configuration, testing, user training, roll-out), or substantial experience with certain phases of the lifecycle.
• 7+ years of experience interacting with users, other technical teams, and senior management to gather requirements, explain well-considered choices, and create long-term strategy.

 FAVORABLE QUALIFICATIONS.

• Ten or more years of experience working in a tech-related setting.
• Ten years or more of experience with common construction procedures and file types, such as design drawings, submittals, information requests, and change orders.
• 10+ years of experience in the design and/or construction of data centers or other environments that are mission-critical.
• 10+ years of experience working with teams outside of direct reporting chains in a challenging corporate environment with significant dependencies.
• For this role, satisfies or exceeds the leadership standards set forth by Amazon.
• The functional/technical depth and complexity for this role meet or exceed Amazon’s standards.
