The Information Security Penetration Testing Team at Amazon is looking for a Security Engineer to help keep Amazon secure for its customers. In this role, you will attack Amazon’s services, programs, and websites in order to discover security flaws and report them to our internal technology teams. A security engineer at Amazon needs to have experience in several different sectors. Engineers in this position not only work closely with information security teams but also provide leadership and technical direction to teams and leaders across Amazon. Face-to-face interactions with teams from various industry sectors will give you first-hand knowledge of the intricate technical workings of Amazon. You’ll also use your newly acquired knowledge of Amazon to develop original strategies for the company’s offerings, operations, and technological advancements.

AGENDA GENERAL REQUIREMENTS.

* Three years or more of experience in offensive security positions, such as penetration testing.

* Three or more years of experience in security engineering, including web application security, network security, authentication and authorization protocols, cryptography, automation, and other software security specialties.

* Three or more years of experience checking manual and dynamic code for security flaws.

* Three or more years of expertise using compiled or interpreted languages (e. g. .NET, Python, Ruby, Ruby, C/C++, Java, and Ruby).

* A track record of success using threat modeling, design reviews, and other threat analysis techniques.

* A baccalaureate degree in computer science or a closely related field, or equivalent work experience.

ADVANTAGEOUS QUALIFICATIONS.

* Experience with penetration testing for mobile applications.

* Knowledge of cloud service providers and their array of technologies and services, preferably AWS.

* Work history spanning a range of security-related industries (e. g. Application security, cryptography, system and network security, authentication and security protocols, and incident response).

* Expertise in the development of security tools and automation.

* Experience with CVE research, bug bounty schemes, or CTF tournaments.

* A doctorate in computer science or a field that is closely related to it.
