Full Job Description

A security engineer is needed by Amazon’s information security penetration testing team to help keep the company secure for its customers. To find security holes and alert our internal technology teams to them, you will conduct attacks on Amazon’s services, software, and websites in this role. This role will present you with challenging opportunities both technologically and as a leader, but it will also be a lot of fun if the idea of hacking Amazon with a team of highly talented individuals appeals to you.

A security engineer at Amazon needs to have experience in several different sectors. Engineers in this position not only work closely with information security teams but also provide leadership and technical direction to teams and leaders across Amazon. As a result of your face-to-face interactions with teams from various industry sectors, you will gain first-hand knowledge of the complex technical operations of Amazon. Moreover, you will use your newly acquired knowledge of Amazon to develop novel approaches to the operations, policies, and technological advancements of the organization.

 COMPONENTS THAT ARE A MUST.
  •  * Three years or more of experience conducting offensive security testing.
  •  * Three or more years of experience using security engineering methods, such as web application security, network security, authentication and authorization protocols, cryptography, automation, and other software security disciplines, in a professional capacity.
  •  * At least three years’ worth of experience checking manual and dynamic code for security flaws.
  •  * Three or more years of experience with compiled or interpreted languages (e. g. Python, Ruby, C/C++, Java, and.NET).
  •  * Expertise in threat modeling, design reviews, or other threat analysis techniques.
  •  * A baccalaureate in computer science or a closely related field, or equivalent work experience.
 PRINCIPAL REQUIREMENTS.
  •  * Experience with penetration testing for mobile applications.
  •  * Knowledge of the products and services provided by other cloud service providers as well as AWS and its array of technologies.
  •  * Extensive security-related experience (e. g. Information security includes, among other things, application security, cryptography, system and network security, and incident response.
  •  * Expertise in the development of security tools and automation.
  •  * Understanding of CVE analysis, bug bounty recognition, or both.
  •  * A Ph.D. in computer science or a closely related subject.
