Duties of the position are described.

The Principal Architect for Operational Technology (OT) Cybersecurity is in charge of advancing OT security capabilities for United Airlines. In order to ensure that security best practices are followed throughout the lifecycle of OT systems, the architect will collaborate with the teams responsible for the product, platform, engineering, and operations. They’ll work together to create and maintain security-related documentation as well. The position will contribute to ongoing improvements to our cyber controls and associated playbooks, workflows, processes, and procedures. The architect will continue to be knowledgeable about the security environment, including internal and external threats, statutory requirements, policy changes, and other sources.

•  is responsible for creating OT security technology strategies and roadmaps based on business strategy, cybersecurity assessments, IT trends, and the overall threat landscape.
•  develops OT security architectures in accordance with technology standards, reference architectures, design patterns, and assessment and remediation requirements.
•  Support the development of written regulations for OT security, including standards, guidelines, and other documents.
•  creates and records architectural patterns and reference architectures in conjunction with principal architects.
•  Produce security technology roadmaps in collaboration with business and IT partners.
•  communicates the effects of cybersecurity gaps to a variety of audiences in an effective manner.
•  Participates in the evaluation of cybersecurity control and threat models, and provides risk-based gap analyses and prioritized remediation recommendations.

 Qualifications.

The essential conditions for success are as follows:.

•  bachelor’s degree.
•  technical expertise of 8+ years, including 6 years in OT specifically.
•  understanding of safeguarding operational technologies such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Distributed Control Systems (DCS), and SCADA software.
•  Experience with information security principles, practices, technologies, programs, and procedures as well as advanced knowledge of risk management methodologies.
•  basic familiarity with OT and IT network protocols.
•  understanding of other information security frameworks and standards, such as ISO 27002, NIST, and CIS Benchmarks.
•  Without sponsorship, one needs the appropriate legal authorization in order to work in the US for any employer.
•  You need to ace the interview in order to be qualified for the job.
•  Regular, punctual attendance is a major duty of the position.
