How can you make an impact on this project?

Collaborate with mainframe infrastructure and application engineers and architects to achieve state-of-the-art technology
Leads the engineering of large and complex projects with various components and inputs
Interact with business partners and vendors to better understand their objectives, skill sets and/or how to identify and solve difficult issues/problems.
Collaborate with engineers to define solution requirements, perform coding and/or practical technology implementations
Use technical skills to help team members overcome technical problems during production closure and solution delivery
Ensure compliance with technology, architecture, standards and regulations, policies and procedures

Minimum Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in electronic project management and technical support projects
Experience with BMC’s Control-M Workload Automation product suite (core and distributed platforms) -> Control-M, Control-O, Control-M Restart, Enterprise Manager and integration components as an administrator. BMC Certification for Control-M
3+ years of Z/OS, Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, JHS, PRO/JCL, ITSM Connect (ServiceNow), JCL, KSL, shell scripting, Microsoft Office products
3+ years of engineering experience in complex environments in the financial services industry

Eligibility of candidates

Knowledge of modern mainframe technologies and z platforms such as Java, Encryption, Sysplex, Hybrid Cloud, High Availability, Active/Active and Mainframe Networking
Experience designing and implementing mainframe and distributed applications
Experience in mainframe infrastructure, hardware and operating systems of z-platform and z/OS technologies, application development and management of mainframe architecture, middleware and tooling.
Ability to manage, influence and drive supplier leads to generate new revenue streams for American Express
Demonstrated personal integrity and the ability to build trust and teamwork within the organization
High ability to motivate and inspire team members to meet their commitments
Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to tailor information to the appropriate audience
Strong strategic thinking and decision making skills
