This position will report to the Senior Manager, SEC Reporting as a member of the Corporate Accounting Team. This ambitious, enjoyable, and collaborative team handles the month-end accounting close for all Yelp entities, including our international locations. After combining the results, they are shared with the relevant parties on both an internal and external level. This team is unique because of the wealth of knowledge it possesses, which was acquired through exposure to significant business partners and a wide range of financial topics.

 You’ll take this action.
  •  You’ll assist in organizing and planning disclosures for periodic Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) filings. Forms 10-Q and 10-K make up the majority of these, though other forms may be added as needed.
  •  You will ensure that the aforementioned filings comply with SEC and U. regulations. S. the XBRL tagging requirements stipulated by generally accepted accounting principles (“GAAP”).

  •  You will help with the production of monthly accounting journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for the aforementioned areas of responsibility as part of our month-end close procedure. This could include, among other things, capitalized software development costs and stock compensation.
  •  You’ll make sure that policies and procedures are followed in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley (“SOX”) requirements. In addition, make sure that any problems are fixed and corrected by coordinating SOX testing with internal and external auditors.
  •  You will participate in and manage a variety of other projects, including those that are SOX-related, like the implementation of control flowcharts, or new system implementations that have an effect on SOX or SEC reporting.
  •  The larger Accounting team, FPandA, investor relations, legal, and tax, among others, are just a few of the cross-functional stakeholders with whom you will collaborate.
  •  You will conduct financial statement analytics for key areas of responsibility as part of your monthly fluctuation analyses with finance management and be able to defend your conclusions.
  •  As required, you’ll take part in a variety of special projects and ad hoc analyses.
 To be successful, you need to:.
  •  Your grade is a B. S. /B. A. a degree in accounting, business administration, or a related subject.
  •  You have at least two years of relevant experience.
  •  You currently possess a CPA license or actively pursue one.
  •  Ideally, you have prior experience working on SEC filings for a publicly traded company (either from an audit background or working within a company).
  •  You are knowledgeable about US GAAP and accounting research methods.
  •  You’ve probably heard of SOX.
  •  You are particularly skilled with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  •  It’s admirable the level of detail you pay attention to.
  •  You have the ability to prioritize a variety of projects while working on them all at once, frequently in a busy setting, and you manage to finish tasks on time.
  •  You communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
  •  Your strong analytical abilities support your ability to follow through and implement process improvement successfully.
  •  You’ve used Oracle accounting systems in the past (this is advantageous but not required).
  •  You show a spirit of cooperation.
