•  To join the Finance Team in London, we are looking for a motivated and talented finance and accounting professional. In order to streamline the UK finance department’s operations and processes for accounting, compliance, and reporting, the candidate will work with numerous teams. Additionally, the person will serve as a business partner for the various cross-functional teams in our London office.
•  The ideal candidate will fit Netflix’s values and culture, be able to work well across the organization, and have a hands-on attitude. We are looking for someone with accounting experience who can manage the reporting and financial statement compliance requirements for our Canadian and UK corporate and production entities, in the broadest sense. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work efficiently and independently, drive projects and process improvements within constrained timeframes in a fast-paced environment. A strong communicator who can establish long-lasting working relationships with both internal teams and outside advisors is also a requirement.

 Among the tasks are:.

•  for UK legal entities, the creation of statutory accounts.
•  Getting ready for and assessing the Canadian NTR.

 Education and professional experience:.

•  8 years of minimum relevant accounting and finance experience; it’s ideal if this experience includes both in-house and public accounting roles.
•  a postgraduate degree in accounting from a program accredited by the RA, CA, CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent, as well as a bachelor’s degree in accounting or an equivalent academic degree.
•  knowledge of managing (first-year) financial audits and statutory reporting.
•  the capacity to work with cross-functional teams in content, tax, accounting, etc. and possess working knowledge of a global setting.
•  working understanding of service providers, i. e. independent accountants, outside auditors.
•  solid knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.
•  the ability to navigate large data sets and possess advanced MS Excel and Google Sheets skills.
•  It helps to be knowledgeable about the tech or entertainment sectors.
•  Experience with Workday Financials or another cloud-based ERP system is a plus.
