Summary.
  •  This position will report to the Senior Manager, SEC Reporting as a member of the Corporate Accounting Team. This ambitious, enjoyable, and collaborative team is in charge of closing the month-end accounting for all Yelp entities, including our international locations. Once combined, the findings are shared with internal and external stakeholders.  Your actions will be.
  •  You will assist in the planning, coordinating, and reviewing of disclosures for quarterly Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) filings. The forms 10-Q and 10-K are the main ones in these, though other forms might be added as needed.
  •  You will confirm that the aforementioned filings comply with SEC and U. compliant. S. the XBRL tagging requirements stipulated by generally accepted accounting principles (“GAAP”).
  •  You will assist in planning the review and approval of 10-Q and 10-K filings with key stakeholders, including senior management of Yelp, external auditors, internal and external legal counsel, the Yelp Disclosure Committee, and Audit Committee.
  •  You will support the Investor Relations team in communicating Yelp’s results through the quarterly Shareholder Letter by delivering timely and accurate financial data, reviewing key earnings data, and offering additional insights.
  •  You will review relevant accounting literature, provide technical memos and instructions, and audit Yelp to ensure that it is accounting for any changes in accordance with U. GAAP Sdot. This entails investigating and assessing new accounting pronouncements that will affect Yelp, managing the implementation of those new standards, and communicating the results to management, partners in business, and auditors.
  •  You will help out as needed with the creation/review of monthly accounting journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for your respective areas of responsibility as part of our month-end close process. Among other things, this could include stock compensation and capitalized software development costs.
  •  You will guarantee that policies and procedures are adhered to in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley’s (“SOX”) requirements. You will also work with internal and external auditors to plan SOX testing, and you’ll make sure that any problems you find are fixed.
  •  You’ll support and manage a variety of other projects, including SOX-related ones like the implementation of control flowcharts or other new system implementations that have an effect on SOX or SEC reporting.
  •  You will be in charge of overseeing the prompt delivery of supporting documentation to auditors (PBC list) for both external financial reporting audits and SOX-related requests. You will converse with auditors as well as answer any queries they may have.
  •  You will become an important business partner by cooperating with relevant cross-functional stakeholders, including the larger Accounting team, FPandA, investor relations, legal, and tax, among others.
  •  As part of monthly fluctuation analyses, you will be able to explain your findings to finance management after analyzing financial statements for significant areas of responsibility.
  •  You will complete various special projects and ad hoc analyses as they are assigned to you. For significant accountability domains, you will also be able to suggest process improvements.
 The following are necessary for success.
  •  You were awarded a B. S. /B. A. a qualification in business administration, accounting, or a related discipline.
  •  Your experience must go back at least four years.
  •  You either currently possess a CPA license or are actively pursuing one.
  •  Previously, you worked on SEC filings for a publicly traded company (either as a result of your auditing experience or your employment with a company).
  •  Your prior public accounting experience would be ideal at a Big 4 firm.
  •  You have a solid understanding of US GAAP and accounting research methods.
  •  It would be ideal if you were familiar with Workiva’s Wdesk SEC filing platform.
  •  You are knowledgeable about SOX and interactions with external auditors.
  •  You have some familiarity with Word and Excel.
  •  You pay incredible attention to detail.
  •  You are able to prioritize a variety of projects while still completing your goals and deadlines.
  •  You are a self-starter with the ability to work without much guidance in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
  •  You have a proven track record of working effectively with people at all organizational levels to resolve problems and achieve results.
  •  You express yourself clearly both orally and in writing.
  •  Your strong analytical abilities support your ability to follow through and implement process improvement successfully.
  •  Despite the fact that it is not necessary, you have previously used Oracle accounting systems.
