You are accountable for resolving third-party rejections and handling a significant volume of customer inquiries while working directly under supervision. obeys standard operating procedures and performs duties in accordance with company rules and regulations. responsible for using pharmacy systems to collect data on patients and medications.

 Job Duties.

•  Process new patient registration by entering data into the appropriate system while following the data entry procedures and guidelines provided by Walgreens. handles patient prescription requests in accordance with HIPAA guidelines and enters refill requests for processing. identifies problems, interprets medical abbreviations (SIG codes), and locates missing prescription information. solves all exceptions relating to data entry.
•  Managing patient correspondence (inbound calls, chats, and emails) and placing outbound calls to prescribers and patients as necessary.
•  Resolves Third Party Rejects through review, information gathering, corrections, and resubmission for processing in accordance with specific plan requirements. Calls insurance companies and other parties to get information, get the go-ahead for an override, or to find a different way to handle Third Party Rejects.
•  aids pharmacists, both those working at the facility and those in other places. Identifies problems and, as necessary, informs senior level staff of them.
•  Within the first 90 days, a technician license or certification must be obtained; it must also be maintained.
•  An employee in this position can anticipate an hourly rate of $16.50 plus bonuses in accordance with the terms of any bonus plans, if applicable.  Requirements minimal.

•  minimum age of 18 is required.
•  Must be a Texas resident.
•  need to hold a current Texas State Board of Pharmacy license for pharmacy technician.
•  A high school diploma or GED.
•  Computer basics, such as how to turn on and off a computer, point and click with a mouse to open and close programs, switch between programs, save files, print documents, and/or access online information.
•  Opening a browser, typing URLs in the proper spot, using a search engine, bookmarking a website, navigating with the back, forward, and stop buttons, and completing online forms are all examples of basic search engine skills.
•  Intermediate level keyboarding abilities (at least 25 WPM, touch typing, document formatting).
•  communicate clearly both orally and in writing.

 Preferred Requirements.

•  experience working as a pharmacy technician for at least a year, preferably in a retail or call center setting.
•  a certificate or registration from the state’s pharmacy board or another organization that is recognized nationally and has at least 18 months of experience as a pharmacy technician.
•  experience offering internal and external customers customer service, including evaluating customer satisfaction and upholding service quality standards.
•  Intermediate to advanced keyboarding skills (at least 35 WPM, touch typing, document formatting).
