Summary of the position.
The coordination and execution of all logistics-related tasks is the main responsibility of this position. All product types can be shipped safely. Look for problems with incoming vendor freight. Control the TMS system’s loads via the web. Update the customer’s or end user’s knowledge of delivery dates and times. Perform SAP functions for picking, packing, and shipping. Send providers your claims for shipping damage.
TASKS / ACTIVITIES.
- After the completion of orders, share the shipping dates and times with the Assembly Supervision.
- Check the sizes, weights, and any unique shipping requirements or information.
- Contact with the customer and end user via phone and email to ensure proper and timely delivery.
- If needed, provide export shipping customs documentation.
- Manage Bill of Lading for Scheduled Pick-Ups and photograph loads for transportation documentation.
- Offer freight quotes to the sales team so they can estimate jobs.
- Support for picking and packing part shipments for the parts department.
- Include pictures and documents related to logistics in the sales order directory.
- Arrange shipping container shipments for export.
- Assistance with vendor-initiated incoming freight as needed.
- Organize the movement of work in progress (WIP) among the fabrication and assembly buildings, including galvanizing.
- Support in creating high-quality documentation.
- Any additional responsibilities that may be required.
