Job Summary:

Act as a liaison between LabCorp, customers and patients
Collection and delivery of samples to the market and hospital on foot
Fill all vendors required for daily pickup
Complete the daily lifting routine at the appropriate time
Submit daily checks to your branch during your work hours
Ability to walk 4-8 miles per day during work hours
Handle laboratory specimens and samples safely and efficiently

Work Design Example Work/Work

Introduce and prepare lead samples in the laboratory to ensure correct processing
Open the samples and pour them into the second box to prepare them for analysis and analysis
Verify that the patient’s demographic information matches the type of test request sent
Entering patient data into a computerized system for tracking purposes
Make sure that the basic production process and the method are good to ensure fast and accurate results
Remove and transfer the specimens to their respective storage areas
Pack and ship samples to the appropriate testing facility if required
Prepare well and save the pass check
Manage and dispose of medical and chemical waste
Follow existing environmental health and safety procedures and practices
Address frequently asked customer questions on products or services via inbound, outbound or online calls
Speak to customers in a polite, friendly and professional manner using proper protocol
Ask, clarify and support customer requirements and understanding of solutions
Provide customer training and other information as needed
Review test models for accuracy and report any complaints
Perform administrative support for medical record management and internal records

Calendar

Monday through Friday (9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.) and other weekends. Change to work different changes as needed. The pay range for this position is $15.00 to $25.76. All jobs offered will be based on the candidate’s relevant skills and previous experience, degrees/certifications, and internal measurements and market data. Full-time, full-time, or part-time employees who work 20 hours or more per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: health, dental, vision, life, STD/LTD, 401(K), ESPP, Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), company bonus if applicable

Education / Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous driver/messenger experience preferred
Previous clinical or manufacturing experience preferred
A previous healthcare facility such as a doctor’s office or hospital is a plus
Customer service experience is a plus
Must be 21 years old
It is easy to handle biological samples, including blood, urine and tissue samples
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs, work in protective equipment, and sit/stand for long periods of time.
Eye contact is strong enough to identify a model by hand and eye contact
Excellent computer and writing skills; Experience in LIS is a plus, Proficiency in MS Office
Strong communication skills; both in writing and orally
Must be respectful and have a strong customer service orientation
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
High attention to detail and problem solving ability
Must pass standardized color vision test
Time management skills and time management skills
Flexible and willing to perform other duties as assigned
Work in a high volume, productive environment
Ability to obtain and maintain productivity levels
