Principal Mechanical Engineer Manchester City Centre Salary: 55,000 to 65,000 Job Ref: 33503
We are looking for a Principal Mechanical Engineer to work on major Rail projects in the UK and internationally. Rail historically is a sector that pays well, and this role is no different with the position paying a salary up to 65,000.
You will work on the new station at Old Oak Common (at least 8 years work) and the various new stations and station upgrades on the TransPennine Route Upgrade. There are also other internationally significant projects particularly in the Middle East.
You will operate as the Lead Engineer and CRE (Contractors Responsible Engineer) on projects as appointed by the Discipline lead. You will be responsible for the output Mechanically on projects and keep a close eye on the programme of works and keeping an eye on budgets for the project too.
You can come from any project background, but you will need to have a good grounding of Mechanical Building Services and have a good knowledge of HVAC, Public Health, Building Physics and BIM.
The Rail MEP Team is 40 strong across Building Services and Trackside Engineers. The Mechanical BS team totals 4 so there is plenty of opportunity for you to grow here.
