JOB DESCRIPTION
Randstad CPE are currently recruiting for an experienced Design Manager from an MEP Construction background to join our client on a permanent basis, a Nationally recognised Tier 1 Contractor.
You will have experience with designing projects from conception through to completion including calculations, drawings, specifications.
The role would suit a candidate from a Contractor background with Mechanical and Electrical knowledge working on project values of £20+million and within the commercial, public health and education sectors.
Do you have good working knowledge of MEP Design in Construction projects? New build or Refurbishment? Are you looking for a Senior role within the sector?
Your key duties will include:
Help shape and grow the technical development of the team Manage existing clients and develop further opportunities. Look to grow the Company on the back of new and repeat clients. Accountable for deliverables in line with financial targets and client deadlines. Raise awareness of the business by attendance at networking events, seminars, and businessdevelopment events. Report back to the Associate with workload updates, morale, suggestions for improvements. Develop Company Standards for both drawings and specifications.
Design Duties:
Option evaluation Prepare stage reports / outline designs, feasibility Brainstorm design solutions Detail design Maintain comprehensive design file Produce scheme design drawings for CAD Produce design sketches Adopt flexible attitude to project and design Review, check and approve project related documentation. (i.e drawings, calculations, data lists etc) Produce Design Risk Assessments in line with statutory requirements Production of CAD / REVIT drawing packages. Production of Design Calculations
Skills and Qualifications:
Educated to degree or HND level or equivalentChartered Engineer or progressing towards
