DESCRIPTION:

The community management role requires you to combine strong event planning, social media, and marketing skills with the goal of showcasing local businesses and further engaging popular Yelp members in the community.

What is Yelp Elite Squad, you ask?

This is a group of Yelpers who do well with their content – think great photos, great reviews, compliments and other content, etc. In an effort to recognize key contributors, we display an “Elite” badge on their Yelp profile, and invite them to participate in community-sponsored events with other community members (ie, you!).

What to do:

You will be the face of Yelp in your area by attending local events and connecting with local business owners.

You will design, plan and execute Yelp events in your area. You will build valuable relationships with local businesses who want to sponsor events with Yelp.

You’ll support your Yelp Elite members by answering questions, engaging with their content on Yelp, and keeping them up to date with what’s happening in your community. You will research and design a collection of local businesses that showcase the best of your city for Yelp’s Local Magazine.

You will build relationships and relationships with local organizations with the aim of reaching new audiences. You will manage the day-to-day planning and growth of Yelp’s local social media on Instagram and Twitter, including writing and creating visual assets through Canva and/or planning and editing videos.

What it takes to be successful:

You have at least 3 years of professional experience in event planning, social media management and/or marketing.

You’re ready to reach out and connect with business owners to build relationships and drive collaboration on behalf of Yelp.

You have strong communication and writing skills. You thrive in a self-directed environment where you are in control of your schedule

You are motivated by a sense of creative freedom

Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
