The Senior Manager, of SEC Reporting will oversee this position and will be a member of the Corporate Accounting Team. The month-end accounting close for all of Yelp’s entities, including our international locations, is handled by this ambitious, entertaining, and collaborative team. You’ll perform the following.

You will assist in the organization and planning of disclosures related to Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) quarterly filings. Forms 10-Q and 10-K make up the majority of these, though other forms might be added as needed.
You will confirm that the aforementioned filings comply with SEC and U. compliant. S. the requirements of generally accepted accounting principles (“GAAP”), which comprise XBRL tagging.
As part of the process to communicate Yelp’s results through the quarterly Shareholder Letter, you will support the investor relations team by providing timely and accurate financial information, reviewing crucial earnings data, and offering additional insights.
You will conduct relevant accounting literature reviews, provide technical memos and instructions, and make sure Yelp is accounting for any changes by U. GAAP for Sdot. New accounting pronouncements that will have an impact on Yelp in particular are the subject of investigation, analysis, and documentation.
You will help with the creation of monthly accounting journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for your assigned areas of responsibility as part of our month-end close process. This could include things like stock compensation and capitalized software development costs.
You will make sure that policies and procedures are followed in line with Sarbanes Oxley’s (“SOX”) requirements. Coordinate SOX testing with internal and external auditors and ensure that any issues are fixed and remedied.
You’ll participate in and manage a variety of other tasks, including SOX-related ones like the implementation of control flowcharts or other new system implementations that affect SOX or SEC reporting.
Along with other relevant cross-functional stakeholders, you will collaborate with the larger Accounting team, FPandA, investor relations, legal, and tax.
You’ll carry out financial statement analytics for key areas of responsibility as part of your monthly fluctuation analyses with finance management and be able to defend your conclusions.
Depending on the situation, you’ll take part in various side projects and ad hoc analyses.

Success requires the following.

Your score is a B. S. /B. A. a degree that is equivalent in accounting, business administration, or another subject.
You’ve been working in the field for at least two years.
You already have a CPA license, or you’re actively pursuing one.
Ideally, you’ve assisted with SEC filings for publicly traded companies (either directly or through your work in auditing).
US GAAP and accounting research methods are both things you are knowledgeable about.
You’ve probably heard of SOX.
You are particularly skilled with Microsoft Word and Excel.
It’s admirable how carefully you pay attention to every detail.
You can keep track of multiple projects at once while maintaining your schedule, frequently in a busy setting.
You express yourself clearly both in writing and when speaking.
You have the perseverance and excellent analytical skills necessary to successfully implement process improvement.
While it’s not required, having experience with the Oracle accounting system is a plus.
You demonstrate a spirit of cooperation.
