Five main deliverables comprise the performance testing model: planning, scripting, executing, reporting, and evaluating a performance request. The performance testing team, a shared service, supports Costco’s numerous product lines. The primary objective of the team is to support the delivery of platforms, solutions, and/or applications that satisfy and/or surpass IT and business performance SLAs. The right performance metrics and benchmarks must be established for the systems being tested, which may be hybrid, on-premises, or in the cloud, by performance test analysts from various organizations.  ROLE.

•  develops, builds, and maintains performance test scripts and scenarios that meet the objectives listed in the performance test plan.
•  The performance resource and testing schedule estimates are communicated and are accurate.
•  One must read relevant business material, participate in requirement and use case reviews with the project team, and examine relevant business content to understand the need for performance testing.
•  Working with resources from IT and the business, define and create performance test objectives, test environments, and test data requirements.
•  performs performance testing by gathering workload and transaction data and reviewing business metrics.
•  performs performance testing tasks during each stage of a project.
•  performs relevant project-related performance metrics analysis and recording using tools for network and monitoring, back-end systems, and automated performance testing.
•  analyses, logs, and tracks performance flaws; ensures that flaws are fixed; and tests any code modifications discovered during the performance testing phase.
•  examines and shows test execution results as well as performance metrics.
•  creates and maintains documentation for performance testing-related quality assurance.
•  creates uniform performance testing guidelines, protocols, and documentation requirements and ensures their observance.
•  aids in ensuring that the outputs meet the necessary performance standards during the code review process.
•  oversees source control, version control, and code deployment standards.
•  identifies and addresses problems, frequently anticipating issues before they occur or before they get worse; develops and evaluates alternatives; and implements solutions.
•  creates and submits a weekly status report for Performance QA.

 REQUIRED.

•  experience in practical, responsible software quality assurance for at least three years.
•  gained over the course of two years or more in performance testing.
•  object-oriented programming experience for at least a year.
•  demonstrated competence in Java, C, C++, or an equivalent language.
•  knowledge of performance testing or automation tools.
•  knowing the methods and techniques used in performance testing.
•  know how to write performance test scripts and scenarios that accurately reflect the project’s development and testing requirements.
•  Programming languages are used to alter automated test scripts.
•  collaborating with technical teams and subject-matter experts (architects, system designers, operations, etc. ) necessitates a specific set of skills and knowledge. To address problems that surfaced during performance testing.
•  able to create intricate documents that clearly communicate technical ideas to Costco’s business community and stakeholders.
•  Innovative, creative, extraordinarily responsive, and acutely aware of time restraints.
•  Preferably, you should have solid familiarity with both the Waterfall and Agile SDLC processes.
•  high level of proficiency in on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
•  solid familiarity with caching and load balancing models.
•  Responsible, conscientious, and with a history of producing results with little guidance.

•  a four-year degree in computer science or a technical discipline that is closely related, or equivalent work experience.
•  an understanding of monitoring programs like SCOM, Dynatrace, and Splunk.
•  knowledge of DB2, ORACLE, or MS SQL.
•  knowledge of MicroFocus Loadrunner or a similar load testing tool, scenario creation and execution, performance metric collection, and scripting.
•  having the capacity to quickly pick up new protocols and practical experience running and maintaining scripts using various protocols.
•  Java/C or related programming knowledge is preferred.
•  understanding of QA automated testing or mobile performance testing.
•  an understanding of performance testing PowerBI reports.
•  common understanding of Microsoft Azure.
•  the SAFe Agile Framework is familiarity.
•  expertise with MicroFocus WebDev.
•  having understanding of F5 and Akamai for caching.
•  understanding of ERP tools like SAP.
•  It is recommended to use Team Foundation Server and HP ALM or Visual Studio Team Test.
•  Experience in web services development and testing that can be proven is preferred.
•  Candidates are preferred if they have knowledge of XML, SOAP, and WSDL.

•  Level 1 – $70,000 – $95,000.
•  Level 2 – $90,000 – $120,000 .
•  Level 3 – $115,000 – $150,000.
