Full Job Description
This small team of exceptional engineers designs and manufactures precision RF and Analog Test Equipment to calibrate and test the cellular, 5G, WiFi, BT, mmWave, UWB, and NFC radios found in billions of iPhones, iPads, Macs, and Apple Watches. Each team member brings a unique skill set to the table in order to jointly develop internal Apple products from conception to mass production. Each internal product is designed to Apple’s exacting standards, resulting in amazing test equipment that maintains the quality, accuracy, and functionality of commercially available offerings.
Initial Conditions.
- Swift and C++ knowledge.
- Python, Obj-C, C++, or C fundamentals are required.
- solid bug-fixing skills.
- knowledge of the Git repository and software integration tools.
- Up to 10% of the time will be devoted to international travel.
Description.
- As a member of the Application Software team, you will work in a mass production environment on the entire software stack, from the front end to the driver level. You will use cutting-edge software engineering techniques to produce high-quality solutions while working with a team of people who each have different strengths.
- Software solutions are designed, developed, tested, and deployed using a data-driven methodology and a culture of continuous improvement.
- You will actively work with other cross-functional teams to identify the top software solutions that will improve the standard of Apple’s products.
Knowledge and experience.
- A bachelor’s degree is necessary, but we strongly value master’s degrees or higher. Relevant academic fields include computer science, electrical engineering, math, physics, and other engineering specialties.
Other Circumstances.
Preferred (but not required) skills.
- – A minimum of two years of relevant experience.
- Experience with UI/UX design and implementation is a plus.
- – It would be advantageous if you had a fundamental knowledge of RF lab test equipment.
- – Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- – A thorough understanding of the requirements, design, development, and maintenance phases of the software lifecycle.
