 Among the principal responsibilities are.

We work with a Principal Architect – Application Cybersecurity to make sure that our services, applications, and websites are created and implemented in accordance with United’s secure development standards. As a senior position, the Principal Architect works closely with the product teams, development teams, and other teams from across the organization to integrate security into the product lifecycle from design to deployment. The Principal Architect is a renowned authority on creating security requirements, performing application security evaluations, and giving developers remediation advice and direction. The Principal Application Security Architect may be contacted at any time to evaluate a new system, look into an application modification that has been suggested, or provide guidance on application security/coding best practices.

The sought-after services of a trusted advisor or consultant aid in the creation of security designs, requirements, risk monitoring, and mitigation guidance in accordance with industry best practices and legal requirements.

  •  oversees assessments of the architectural layouts and threat modeling of our products (both cloud-based and on-premise).
  •  Recommendations for products and services that support both security requirements and operational needs are implemented.
  •  Contribute to the creation and implementation of security best practices and standards, and ensure that the product development teams are aware of them.
  •  encourages and contributes to the continuous improvement of our security strategy. Supports risk prioritization.

  •  takes the lead in improving security’s accessibility through methods like continuous integration pipelines and automation.

 The bare minimum requirements for success are as follows:.

  •  Bachelor’s in computer science in the STEM disciplines.
  •  9 years at least in a related field of employment.
  •  Understanding of the OWASP Top 10 and CWE 25 in-depth; ability to integrate remediation strategies.
  •  having the ability to communicate risks to development teams, collaborate on a variety of priorities, and produce secure solutions.
  •  knowledge of widely used authentication protocols, attack methods, and encryption technologies.
  •  able to classify and assess risks using risk management techniques and application security testing tools.
  •  knowledge of the standards, best practices, and reference architectures currently in use in the industry.
  •  solid knowledge of web and network protocols, as well as secure network and system design in both traditional and cloud environments.
  •  a sufficient understanding of layer 7 application technologies, frameworks, and protocols with regard to the development and deployment of applications, as well as web applications, web servers, and these elements of the Internet.
  •  the capacity for working independently and self-motivation.
  •  Excellent verbal and written communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
